Blue Ridge’s original craft brewery is now in its eleventh year, still independent, and still brewing and canning everything on site. There are around twenty-five house beers in rotation, so the sensible move is a flight: work through a few, find the one you like, and settle in.
The taproom is relaxed and unfussy, which is the point. It is open seven days a week, and there is usually something on, with karaoke on Thursdays, live music on Fridays, and Singo on Sundays. It fills up with a mix of locals and visitors and stays friendly rather than loud, so it works whether you have come out as a couple for a quiet hour or brought half the group along after dinner.
Come early evening if you want a table without waiting, or later on a Friday if live music is what you are after. Check their events page before you head over, since the line-up changes week to week. It is about ten minutes from the cabin at the eastern end of Main Street, so sort out who is driving before you leave.
