Anyone who has taken a large group to the mountains knows the feeling. The forecast turns, the plan for the day evaporates, and eighteen people are suddenly looking at each other in the same room. This is the part of the cabin we designed for exactly that.
A private indoor pickleball court
Not a driveway with tape on it. A proper indoor court on the property, which means it works in rain, in cold, and after dark. Pickleball is the rare game that a nine-year-old and a seventy-year-old can play against each other and both take it seriously. It has settled more family arguments than we can count, and started a few.
A 750 square foot game room above it
Directly above the court is a game room with a pool table, a wet bar, a large TV and a shelf of games for all ages. It is deliberately a separate space, which matters more than it sounds. Teenagers get somewhere that is theirs, the adults get the main living room back, and everyone is still under one roof.
Two living areas, not one
The main living room has the fireplace and the comfortable seating. Downstairs there is a second living space with a large TV, plus Roku TVs in every bedroom. On a wet afternoon a group of eighteen can split three or four ways without anyone feeling shut out.
The kitchen becomes the activity
A rained-off day is a good excuse to cook something ambitious. The kitchen is fully stocked for group cooking, with room for several people to work at once without colliding. If you would rather not, a private chef can come to the cabin and handle the whole thing.
And there is a secret room
We will not spoil it. There is a hidden room somewhere in the cabin, and finding it has occupied more than one group of children for an entire afternoon.
Then the weather clears
When it does, the hot tub, the fire pit, the yard games and the private trail are waiting. Mountain rain here rarely lasts all day.
